Boston Marathon

Attention all runners! Project Purple has once again joined the John Hancock Non Profit Program as a partner of the Boston Marathon. We are now accepting applications for runners who want to participate in the Boston Marathon. We’re looking for runners at every skill level, so don’t be afraid to submit your application for consideration.

This race needs no introduction.The Boston Marathon is the world’s oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world’s most prestigious road racing events. The Boston Athletic Association manages this American classic, which is sponsored by John Hancock Financial Services. The Boston Marathon has distinguished itself as the pinnacle event within the sport of road racing by virtue of its traditions, longevity and method of gaining entry into the race (via qualification). Competition is high, but the reward of completing this challenging and inspiring race is worth it. This will be Project Purple’s fourth year as a charity partner of the John Hancock Non Profit Program. We’re so excited to rock Boston again, and we hope you’ll join us!

We are only accepting team members who already have entry into the Boston Marathon. Anyone who wants entry through Project Purple will be added to a waiting list. Waiting list applicants will not be charged an application fee.

Fundraising Minimum: $7500 (own entry runners have a different minimum – $1750)

Have your own entry for the race, but want to run for a good cause? We’d love to have you run with our team! The fundraising requirement is low, and you’ll have access to all of team benefits. Please fill out the application below, specifying that you have your own entry, and we’ll help you get started.

• Runners with their own entry have a fundraising minimum of $1750.
